Mars, named after the red planet in Earth's solar system, is a small planet that orbits [[Sol]] every 124 days. It has no moons, and is the closest planet in the [[solar system]] to Sol. Because of its proximity to the yellow dwarf star, the planet's surface is incredibly hot. Mars has no atmosphere and cannot support life.
