solar system

There are two stars in the solar system, Sol and Luna.

Sol, named after Earth's sun, is similar to it's namesake. Sol is a yellow dwarf star, and emits a large amount of energy mainly as light, ultraviolet, and infrared radiation.

Luna, named after Earth's moon, is not a moon, but a star. Unlike Sol, Luna has a darker light - it's light is less yellow and more of a LED white, with almost blue undertones. It is a “chemically peculiar star”, with an unknown chemical makeup. Those on the planet, Neth, believe the energy from Luna to be the source of magic.

Neth is one of four planets in the solar system. It has one moon, smaller than Earth's.

Mars is the closest planet to the two stars. Unlike Neth, it orbits around just Sol. It is a burnt planet, appearing a dark brown (if anyone were to have a strong enough telescope). It has no atmosphere.

Pluto, named because of the irony of the largest planet being named after the planet too small to remain a planet, is a large gas planet. It orbits circularly around both stars, and is a far enough distance away to be relatively unaffected by flares.

Artica is the furthest planet, orbiting around both stars. It is also made of gases, and has two moons.

The atmosphere on Neth is fairly thick - thankfully! With the magnetic field and thick atmosphere, Neth is spared most of the interactions between the two stars, but not all - every five to ten years, a major flare up will affect the planet. As Neth, the only planet in its system with an atmosphere and water, orbits the two stars, it encounters different seasonal patterns, year patterns, and more.

Neth is larger than Earth. Unlike Earth, which rotated 15° every hour, Neth rotates roughly 14.4° every hour - giving hours 64m instead of 60m. It makes a full rotation in 24 hours of 64 minutes.

Neth revolves around Sol for roughly 420 days, has a ten day in-between period, then revolves around Luna for 270 days, and then had another ten day in-between period before it returns to it's revolution around Sol.
